Monica Wilson Obituary Maryland: In loving memory of 57-year-old Springdale woman who died in Upper Marlboro car accident
According to the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD), a head-on collision in Upper Marlboro on Wednesday resulted in the death of a woman and the injuries of another.
According to a police update released Thursday, officers were summoned to the 500 block of Largo Center Drive at approximately 5:10 p.m. on October 23 in connection with a two-vehicle collision.
They discovered Monica Wilson, 57, of Springdale, Maryland, critically injured. After being brought to the hospital, she passed away.
According to police, their first investigation showed that Wilson was heading north on Largo Center Drive when a car crossed the centerline from the opposite way for an unidentified reason.
At that point, Wilson’s car was struck head-on by the second vehicle. The second vehicle’s driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators were informed by witnesses that two people from the second car fled the scene.
The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit of the PGPD is investigating the collision.
