Murfreesboro, Tennessee Car Accident: One Dead, 3 Injured In Tuesday Afternoon Crash Along Veterans Parkway; Victims Identified
Authorities say a Tuesday afternoon crash in Murfreesboro left one person dead and three others injured.
The Murfreesboro Police Department alerted the public to a collision involving two automobiles on social media at approximately 12:14 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22.
According to police, the collision happened on Veterans Parkway near Kingdom Drive at around 11 a.m. The portion of the road stayed closed while workers tried to clean up the area.
Westbound traffic was rerouted via Kingdom Drive to Jack Byrnes Drive and Overall Creek, according to officials. Meanwhile, eastbound traffic was rerouted away from the scene of the incident. Drivers were advised to seek alternative routes.
The Fatal Accident occurrence Team is investigating the cause of the occurrence. No other details about the collision were immediately released to the public.
