Andy Dalton, a quarterback for the Carolina Panthers and a former member of the Cincinnati Bengals, was involved in an automobile accident on Tuesday afternoon
Dalton was in the vehicle with his wife, three kids, and dog when the collision happened, according to NBC station WCNC.
The number of cars involved and the circumstances leading up to the collision are unknown. According to the report, no one inside Dalton’s vehicle needed to be taken to the hospital.
Following the collision, Dalton was evaluated by the Panthers’ medical staff, according to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero.
The 36-year-old Dalton was selected by the Bengals in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft and started as the team’s quarterback for nine seasons, from 2011 to 2019.
Dalton led Cincinnati to the playoffs several times while he was a Bengal, throwing 204 touchdowns to 118 interceptions and being a three-time Pro Bowler.
