Cecily Cornett Obituary, Death Cause – Cecily S. Cornett, age 21, was recognized as the person whose body was found in a barrel at a property in Middletown. The barrel contained the remains of the individual who was discovered.
The body was located by the coroner for Butler County. On June 30, law enforcement was called to a home on Yankee Road after getting a report of a woman who was stuck inside a barrel. When they arrived, they found the woman to be free. When they arrived, William Slaton was already there waiting for them to arrive. After being confronted by them, he is said to have gone inside the house and then emerged again in the backyard,
where he tossed a barrel over a fence. According to the police, this took place. After being placed inside the barrel, the cornett had been taken out. She was not wearing any clothes, and blowflies were covering her entire body. Slaton allegedly admitted to the police that he had used drugs before waking up to see Cornett hanging in the basement.
This information comes from Slaton’s statement to the police. After that, he continued by saying that he chopped her fingers and used a razor to erase the tattoos off her body. Afterwards, he said that he did this. He hid them in the cellar by placing them in a bowl and covered it up. The bowl was in the basement.
The authorities got a search request, and as a result of their investigation, they found the bowl holding the tattoos and fingers. Even though the autopsy was finished, the coroner has not been able to identify what ultimately led to the patient’s passing.
Slaton is suspected of mistreating a deceased corpse, covering up a crime or a death, and interfering with evidence. He is also accused of concealing a crime or a death. He is being accused of the aforementioned things.
