The University of Texas at Austin student who took his own life this week has been identified as a devoted Christian, a great student-community member, and a brilliant fellow. The man identified as a freshman at UT Austin passed away at the scene.
Andrew Parrish was a freshman student at the university. He was a graduate of Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy and Western Reserve Academy. Andrew Parrish passed away tragically leaving his family devastated. According to law enforcement agencies, Parrish was found dead from an apparent suicide following a battle with depression and other mental challenges.
He was supposed to graduate from The University of Texas at Austin in 2028. According to Parrish’s profile, he was a member of the Sigma Chi UT Austin. The Crossroads Church (Cincinnati, OH) has requested fervent prayers on behalf of Andrew Parrish’s family. The 19-year-old was studying for a Bachelor of Business Administration – BBA, Finance. Parrish graduated from Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy in 2024.
While at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy in Ohio, Parrish was a 4-year Track Athlete. Law enforcement agencies were called to the campus on Monday for a body-found report. According to officials, Andrew was located unconscious at the Castilian dormitory. Authorities say he was pronounced dead. Andrew was locally identified as the student who died. The University of Texas at Austin Police Department responded to the incident
