Timothy Gates Obituary, Death Cause – Timothy W. Gates, Sr., a resident of Titusville, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at the age of 66 at the Titusville Area Hospital.
He had been a patient there since Monday, July 31, 2023. Tim Gates was born in Titusville on October 5, 1956, to parents who had both passed away before he was born: Carl R. Gates and Ella J. (Wood) Gates. Tim was the only child. Rhonda L. Conklin became his wife on March 11, 1988, and the ceremony took place in Titusville, Florida.
The death of Mrs. Gates occurred on November 16, 2007, just a few days before that of her husband.
He had graduated from Townville High School, where he had attended all four years of high school. Tim has a background in the construction industry, with his most recent position having been held at Foltz and Son’s. He enjoyed activities such as producing music and playing his guitar, cooking for his family, barbecuing, going camping, and working with his hands to construct projects ranging from small extensions to full-scale homes.
He also took enjoyment in going camping. When he was with his grandchildren, he relished the opportunity to amuse himself and have the greatest fun he could possibly have.
Tim is survived by his children, Amanda Blake and husband Roger, Ellen Gates and fiancé Keith Urey, Timothy Gates and wife Morgan, Michelle Gates and fiancé Robert Murdoch, all of Titusville; Mark Gates and wife Alexandria of Lancaster; a number of grandchildren, a great-grandson, and his fiancée, Terri Vroman of Titusville; and a number of great-grandchildren. Tim is also survived by a great-grandson.
Terri Vroman, who was engaged to Tim and lived in Titusville, is another person who will miss him. Before he did, both of his siblings—a brother by the name of Mark Gates and a sister by the name of Lorraine Gourley—had already passed away.
