Gault Obituary, Death Cause – Joy Marie Gault, who was 78 years old and had recently been diagnosed with metastatic cancer, passed away on Saturday, July 15th. On February 2, 1945, Joy Gault was born in Pasadena, California, to parents Gordon and Blanche Gault.
Joy is survived by her sister, Donna White (husband Bob), her niece, Tina Aluzzi, and her great-nephews, Brendon Gray and Austin Aluzzi. She is also survived by her cousins, Claudell Bruner (Don), Carol Terry (Eddy), and Marilyn Gault, all of Oklahoma, as well as Marilyn Gault of Canada. Temple City, California was Joy’s childhood home.
She continued her study and earned degrees in education from Pasadena City College and Pacific Oaks College after graduating from Temple City High School. Her focus was on elementary and secondary school teaching. After a number of relocations, Joy eventually settled down in Vancouver, Washington.
She was a teacher in many of the public and private schools in the area, and she was also instrumental in establishing the WHO cooperation with Share at St. Andrew’s and St. Paul’s Lutheran churches. She held the position of former president of the Delta Kappa Gamma Mu Chapter in Clark County and was highly engaged in the Mill Plain Methodist Church.

Mill Plain Methodist Church, located at 15804 SE Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver, Washington 98684, will be hosting the event on Friday, August 11. Joy’s final request for anyone who wishes to express their condolences is for them to make a donation of Twin Sheet Sets to the WHO program in her memory.
