Helene intensified from a tropical storm to a hurricane earlier today and is forecast to strike Florida’s Gulf Coast, likely in the Big Bend area, as a major hurricane soon.
Hurricane Helene is still amassing strength over the Gulf of Mexico, and is moving northeast towards Florida with maximum sustained winds of 85 miles per hour.
The storm is forecast to make landfall late Thursday in northwestern Florida as a Category 3 or 4 storm.
It could do devastating damage to the coastlines.
And as you see, that storm front will make its way north whwre inland regions could see up to six inches of rain in the next couple of days.
BE SAFE.
