Fatal Crash: Charlie Morris Jr., of Fort Wayne Identified as Victim in Weekend Crash near Downtown Fort Wayne
FORT WAYNE, IN
– The coroner’s office for Allen County has identified the victim of a crash that happened close to downtown Fort Wayne on Saturday afternoon.
At 4:15 p.m. on September 21, police were called to the intersection of Maumee and Grant Avenues for a two-car crash. Upon arrival at the scene, they discovered an adult male driver on the ground outside of his car and another adult male driver pinned inside his car.
Both men were taken to a nearby hospital, where one was pronounced deceased and the other was last known to be in stable condition.
The deceased has been identified as 77-year-old Charlie Morris Jr., of Fort Wayne. This marks the coroner’s investigation’s 27th fatal crash in Allen County this year.
