Tragedy struck Highway 395 last week when 19-year-old Reno resident Austin Natividad died in a motorcycle accident near Panther Drive. The fatal accident occurred shortly before 6 a.m. last Monday.
According to a preliminary investigation by the Nevada State Police (NSP), Natividad was riding his 2001 Suzuki GSX-R750 motorcycle southbound on Highway 395 following a 2011 Toyota 4Runner. The SUV slowed for traffic and Natividad , unable to stop in time, collided with the rear of the vehicle. The impact of the crash proved fatal and Natividad was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency crews quickly responded to the scene, located near Parr Avenue and Panther Drive, but unfortunately, Natividad’s life could not be saved. The crash caused significant delays on the highway as crews worked to clear the scene and the investigation continues.
