Maryland I-495 Accident: Accident on Interstate 495 in Maryland — The Maryland State Police are conducting an investigation into a catastrophic collision involving two vehicles that took place on the Outer Loop of Interstate 495 near Route 50 in Prince George’s County on the evening of September 15th. One individual was killed in the collision, while four others were taken to the hospital. Ayuk Etta, who was forty years old and lived in Lanham, has been declared the deceased. A member of the Prince George’s County Fire and Emergency Medical Services team pronounced him dead at the scene.
Etta was not inside his vehicle when the collision occurred; he was standing outside. A Honda Pilot from 2016 and a Mercedes car from 2018 were involved in the collision, which was reported at approximately 8:50 p.m. The preliminary investigations indicate that the Honda Pilot, which was travelling northbound on Interstate 495, lost control and collided with the rear of the Mercedes, which was stopped on the left shoulder of the roadway. Two passengers, Miranda Nembo, age 39, and Mayah Nembo, age 24, were taken to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Centre after being transported in the Mercedes.
However, they have already been discharged from the facility. It has not been established yet what the precise nature of their relationship is with Etta or with each other. Five male buddies from Prince George’s County were riding in the Honda Pilot for the duration of the trip. Two passengers, ages 18 and 19, as well as the driver, Biruk Grimes, who is 19 years old, declined to receive medical assistance. Olauwadamilola Fatokun, who is 18 years old, and a 17-year-old were the two other occupants who were sent to the Luminis Health Doctors Community Medical Centre for medical treatment. An ongoing investigation is being conducted to determine the circumstances behind the crash.
