Michelle Kerr Cause of Death: It is with profound sadness and very heavy hearts Bloodstock shares the passing of Michelle Kerr, Bloodstock FAMILY and co-founder of our powerhouse PR Cosa Nostra PR, Bloodstock Festival announced via a statement shared on Facebook.
“Michelle left us peacefully and in the company of close friends. As the sun came up on Saturday 14 September she made it to the final after show party, following a five-year detour with cancer. Michelle’s loss leaves an unfillable void, and everyone at Bloodstock will miss her enormously.”
Michelle lived for most of her life in Hampstead; a place she adored. A place where she loved going for long walks on the heath and frequently went wandering through Highgate Cemetery. Her family and close friends therefore plan on laying some of her ashes to rest in Highgate Cemetery and arranging a memorial bench on Hampstead Heath.
Tributes
“I’m totally gutted to hear the news of our good friend, Michelle Kerr’s passing. On top of being a bad ass, she was a huge influence for me personally and professionally. She was respected by everyone and was passionate about the metal on a level that few are,” a tribute post shared on Facebook said.
“Oh! Such heartbreaking news to learn of the passing of Michelle Kerr. After joining Kerrang! in 1999, I soon came across this formidable Amazonian type from the ace Roadrunner PR team, who later turned out to be warm, kind and sweet (but we were sworn to never reveal that). When Michelle heard about my breast cancer in 2020 we swapped some supportive messages as she told me of her experience. I didn’t know the full extent of what she’d been going through, quietly, privately, with dignity. Much love to all who knew her and especially Kirsten, Charley and the old Roadrunner folk; the rock and metal world has lost an important figure, and a good woman will be much missed from many lives. Rest in power, Michelle xx,” another post said.
