Robert DeRocco Death: Robert “Bob” DeRocco, Jersey City, NJ—The Jersey City community is in mourning over the abrupt departure of Robert DeRocco, who passed away on September 5, 2024, after a valiant battle with Stage 4 cancer. Bob is survived by his wife, Brandy DeRocco, and their two sons, Lucas and Milo. He was esteemed as a father and handyman. Bob’s passing occurs during a critical period for his children: Lucas is commencing his freshman year of high school, and Milo is entering the fourth grade. The loss of his life has left a significant void in the lives of his family and friends, many of whom were inspired by his boldness, humour, and generosity.
Bob was renowned for his mechanical abilities, and he was consistently prepared to assist anyone who required assistance. He was in the process of transitioning to his passion project of establishing his own maintenance business, which had just begun to acquire momentum prior to his cancer diagnosis. Brandy DeRocco is in the process of coordinating memorial arrangements, and further information will be disclosed in the near future. Yndira Jones has established a fundraiser on behalf of Brandy and her family to assist with the substantial financial burden that has been left behind. This burden includes memorial costs, medical expenses totalling over $300,000, estate settlement costs, and education funds for Lucas and Milo.
Bob was raised in Holbrook, NY, and later relocated to New Jersey, where he became a beloved member of the community. He had a strong connection to Northeastern Pennsylvania, where he relished outdoor pursuits like hunting and fishing. The DeRocco family is profoundly appreciative of the outpouring of love, prayers, and support that has been extended to them during this challenging period. It is greatly appreciated that you are contributing to their financial requirements as they adjust to life without Bob. Brandy, Lucas, Milo, and all those who knew and loved Robert “Bob” DeRocco are extended our most profound condolences. May his memory endure, and may his family derive fortitude from the community’s support
