Amari Franklin Death: The Victoria community is mourning the loss of 20-year-old Amari Franklin, who was tragically killed in a shooting incident on Friday, August 30th. The shooting occurred at a residence in the 2600 block of Allendale Street around 5:00 p.m.
The Incident
Police responded to a report of gunfire at the location and found Franklin suffering from a gunshot wound upon their arrival. Emergency Medical Services were already on the scene, providing care before transporting him to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, Franklin succumbed to his injuries.
Ongoing Investigation
Deputy Chief Eline Moya of the Victoria Police Department has confirmed that the investigation is still ongoing. Detectives believe that the incident was isolated and occurred within the home, and they have stated that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
