Michelle Fazzari Cause of Death: When words revealed about the passing of Olympian and WCL Hall of Fame member Michelle Fazzari, Wrestling Canada Lutte (WCL) was shocked. Michelle fought bravely against cancer till her death on August 30. Her age was thirty-seven.
Michelle had a fantastic wrestling career that included gold medals at international competitions including the Matteo Pellicone Tournament, the World Cup (2013), the Francophone Games (2013), and the Pan-American Championships (2014, 2017). In addition, she won a bronze medal at the World Championships (2017) and a silver medal at the Commonwealth Gamers (2018) and World Cup (2012). She made her Olympic debut in 2016 by competing at 58 kilograms in the Rio Games. Fazzari also won the National Championship several times.
Michelle received recognition as a 2024 inductee into the WCL Hall of Fame. Her induction took place at the Canadian Wrestling Championships (U19, U17, U15) in Mississauga, Ontario, where a large number of attendees, including family and friends, demonstrated the significant good influence she had on a great number of lives.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later time, according to a family letter.
