Daniel was a vibrant and promising child, celebrated as Student of the Month for eight consecutive years. His passion for baseball was evident as he excelled as a pitcher, holding dreams of continuing his athletic career in high school.

Despite battling significant challenges, including addiction, Daniel’s spirit and determination never waned. His sister, Elizabeth Cortez, who is organizing a fundraiser in his honor, remembers Daniel as a hardworking, funny, and resilient individual.
