Following a double shooting on Thursday that left his estranged wife dead and another man hospitalized, a man was taken into custody. Just after 4:20 p.m., according to Decatur police, a shooting took place on 6th Avenue, next to Big Lots.
Officers said they found 50-year-old Yvette Fuller and a male with gunshot wounds inside the car when they got at the scene. Upon arriving at the site, Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn declared Fuller deceased.
For medical attention, the man was sent to a hospital. We don’t yet know what his condition is.
Marcus Fuller, 51, was taken into custody without bond at the Morgan County Jail later on Thursday night after being charged with capital murder. Fuller turned himself in, according to police.
Marcus Fuller and Yvette Fuller were married, but they had been apart for approximately a year, according to reports.
