Reports indicate that the motorcycle’s driver, also Colombian, is in critical condition. Witnesses noted that the pair had been seen drinking alcohol prior to the crash.

Carmen Buttigieg: a 77-year-old from Żebbuġ, was struck by a van in Qormi.
Balu Ganesh Balakrisha: a 40-year-old from India, died in a head-on collision in Żebbuġ. These accidents have highlighted the urgent need for enhanced road safety measures across Malta.
