Dennis Main Obituary, Death – At the age of 79, Dennis “Denny” P. Main, who resided in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 29, 2023. At the time of his passing, he was embraced by the loving members of his family who had been his constant companions. Denny Main was born in New Castle, Delaware, on June 14, 1944. His parents, Ken Main and Jennie (Tirlea), had both passed away prior to Denny’s birth. Denny was named after his father. At Lincoln High School, he had finished all of his high school requirements and graduated with the class of 1962.
Denny worked for the Aetna Standard Engineering Company in the beginning of his career in 1967 and then went on to work for the Ellwood City Forge until he retired in the year 2003. In 2003, he decided to retire from his job. He has the rank of 32nd Degree Free and Accepted Mason membership in both Ellwood City and New Castle, where the lodges are located. Dennis enjoyed a wide variety of activities that might be done on this planet, such as flying; in fact, he was certified as a private pilot. One of his favorite pastimes was flying. In addition to these pursuits, he took great pleasure in the time he spent cooking, gambling, seeing new places, hunting, fishing, participating in golf tournaments, and tending to the garden he cultivated each year.
In addition to his employment as a chef, he was a volunteer fireman in Ellwood City for a number of years. He served there for a number of years. He is survived by his wife Roberta “Bobbie” (Allen) Main, whom he married on June 20th, 1981; his son Deric Main and his wife Mary, who reside in Landisville, Pennsylvania; his grandkids Gunner and Sadie Main; and his sister Jennifer “Jeff” Birnley, who resides in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was married to Roberta “Bobbie” (Allen) for 42 years. Before he did, both of his parents and his brother John Ungham had already crossed over to the other side.
