A vital link in their cherished chain, Maree passed away peacefully on Sunday, 25 August 2024, at the Dannevirke Community Hospital, surrounded by the love and presence of her sisters. Her departure leaves a profound void in the lives of those who loved her.
Maree was a much-loved daughter of the late Frank and Rosalie, who raised her with love and guided her through life’s many paths. She was a dearly loved sister-in-law to David, Rex, and Garth, always sharing a special bond with each of them.
Her warmth and kindness touched the hearts of everyone in her family, including her many nieces and nephews, who treasured the time they spent with her. Maree’s nurturing spirit and unconditional love made her a beloved aunt, someone her nieces and nephews could always turn to for guidance, laughter, and support.
For those who wish to pay their respects and say a personal farewell, Maree is resting at her sister Sheryl’s home, located at 126 Umutaoroa Road, Dannevirke. The family welcomes all who knew and loved Maree to come together during this time of reflection and remembrance.
A service to celebrate Maree’s life will be held on Thursday, 29 August 2024, at 11 am at The Hub Dannevirke, with the entrance off Allardice Street. The service will be an opportunity for family and friends to gather, share memories, and honor the wonderful life Maree lived. Following the service, Maree will be laid to rest at the Mangatera Cemetery in Dannevirke.
