A critically injured pedestrian was transported to an area hospital via Life Star after being struck by a motor vehicle in Bristol on Wednesday evening.
Officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian in the area of Pine Street and Riverside Avenue Extension around 7:17 p.m. on Wednesday, according to the Bristol Police Department.
Officers located a man suffering from serious injuries. Due to the severity of the injuries, Life Star was called to the scene, police said.
The man was transported to an area hospital where he was listed in critical condition on Wednesday night, according to police.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, police said.
The Bristol Police Department’s Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is conduction the ongoing investigation. Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact police at 860-584-3021.
