Maria Branyas Death – Her family has confirmed in an official statement that Maria Branyas, who held the record for being the world’s oldest person, has passed away at the age of 117.
In the year 2023, Branyas, who had been officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the oldest person in the world, passed away peacefully while she was sleeping.
The news was confirmed by her family on Tuesday on X (which was formerly known as Twitter), where they stated, “Maria Branyas has left us.” She passed away in the manner that she had wished: silently, without suffering, and in her sleep.
According to Brayan’s family, “We will always remember her for the advice she gave us and the kindness she showed us.”
In an emotional post that she made a few days before her passing, Branyas disclosed that she was experiencing feelings of sadness and noted, “The time is near.” Please don’t cry; I’m not a fan of tears. Above all else, please do not endure pain for me. No matter where I go, I will still be content.
The Maria Brayans have been residing in the Santa Maria del Tura nursing home in the town of Olot, which is located in the north-eastern region of Spain, for the past twenty years.
Following the passing of a French nun named Lucile Randon, who had reached the age of 118, she became the person who holds the record for being the oldest person in the world.
Maria Branyas endured her life through the influenza pandemic of 1918, two world wars, and the civil war in Spain.
Additionally, she was infected with Covid-19 in the year 2020, just a few weeks after she turned 113 years old.
