Cork Stabbing: The twins were brought to the hospital after allegedly being attacked by a man holding a sharp blade. A relative drove the victims, who are both in their thirties, to Dunmanway Community Hospital. Concerned medics determined that the patients’ injuries were so severe that they needed to be transported to Cork University Hospital immediately.
One of the casualties was in worse condition than the other, and his injuries were so serious that he was removed by helicopter. His brother was taken by ambulance to CUH. Gardai in West Cork are investigating the event and have stated that the investigation is “ongoing”. The scene was saved for technical examination.
Two males, aged 30 and 70, have been arrested in connection with the event and are being held in a Garda station in the Southern Region. A Garda spokeswoman stated this evening that “Gardai are investigating all the circumstances about an assault that occurred in Dunmanway, Co. Cork this evening Saturday 17th August 2024 shortly after 7 pm.”Two men in their 30s were brought to Cork University Hospital for significant injuries.
“The scene of the incident is currently being conserved for technical examination. “Two males in their 30s and 70s were arrested and are currently being detained in a Garda station in the Southern Region under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
They added: “Investigations are ongoing.”
