Working as a sports broadcaster for every elite team and event was Jakub’s ideal career. Doing what he loved, he traveled the world. He was devoted to his family, friends, and sports. Along with traveling the world with his wife, he enjoyed reading, solving puzzles, listening to music, and savoring every moment of each day. He also never refused a tasty dinner, be it an excellent NJ Italian sandwich, steak, or hibachi.
Despite having cystic fibrosis from birth, he overcome many challenges and refused to let the condition define him. After receiving a double lung transplant in June 2011, Jakub was free to spend his life as he pleased. He was regarded as their hero by many. He was the joy in all of our lives and always had a smile on his face and a sense of humor. In 36 years, he accomplished more than most individuals do in a lifetime. He instilled in all of us the values of loving without conditions, living life to the fullest, and never giving up.
