Andril Arvind, Pradeepa Arvind, Mani Arvind and Jacinto Gudino Duran Car Accident; Five persons were killed in a tragic crash on US 281 six miles north of Lampasas, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
According to Texas DPS, troopers were called to the flaming collision on August 14 at approximately 5:45 a.m.
Texas DPS reports that a 2024 Kia Telluride, driven by Mani Arvind, 45, of Leander, was traveling north on US 281 at the same time as a 2004 Cadillac CTS driven by Jacinto Gudino Duran, 31, of Copperas Cove, which was traveling south on US 281.
The Cadillac’s right rear tire had a blowout, according to evidence found at the site, and witnesses claimed the car passed them quickly before the crash.
According to Texas DPS, the blowout forced the Cadillac’s driver to lose control and veer into the northbound lane, and into the path of the Kia.
According to Texas DPS, the Kia and Cadillac suffered significant damage when they collided on the passenger side.
According to Texas DPS, there was a passenger in the Cadillac who was 23 years old and from Copperas Cove, and there were two passengers in the Kia who were identified as Pradeepa Arvind, 40, and Andril Arvind, 17.
At the site, all occupants of both automobiles were declared deceased. Adiryan Arvind, 14, who is left without his family after the horrific accident, has a GoFundMe page set up.
