“First off, thank you for all the thoughts, prayers, messages, etc.! We feel all your love and so blessed to be apart of this community. Our prayer warriors worked hard and all the test came back clear! Thank you, thank you, thank you!,” Riley Logan said in an update shared on Facebook.
According to reports, Wes was involved in an accident on Lake Champlain on Saturday, August 10, during competition of the Bassmaster Elite and has been transported to the hospital.
“Wes hit a bad wave (maybe even something in that water that was unable to be seen) while driving down the lake. The impact was so great that his motor detached from his boat which resulted in a spinout. During these 360 turns, he hit his head and was almost thrown out of the boat. He luckily stayed conscious enough to call me to alert for help. It took some time to get him in, but he was met at the dock by an ambulance that took him straight to the nearest hospital.”
“He was evaluated, scanned, and stitched up. He was medically cleared and released to fish/operate a boat. We were quickly discharged and he was able to get back out on the water around 1:00 EST and is due to come back at 3:00 EST. He is a touch cookie and wanted nothing more than to get back out on the water ASAP – safely.”
“We are glad he is okay as something like this could have definitely resulted in a different outcome. Every morning at takeoff, I pray for guidance, calmness, and safety in which God prevailed. Thank you Jesus for looking over my husband on the water and for allowing us to find him in this time of need. We are so thankful he is okay.”
