Winston-Salem police have identified the person killed near Quarry Park today. According to police:
» Around 8 a.m. today, officers went to the 1900 block of Leight Street, near Waughtown Street & Reynolds Park Road, in reference to a security check.
» Upon arrival, police found one person in a car suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. EMS responded and pronounced the victim dead.
» The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Barry Richardson. It’s being investigated as a homicide. It does not appear to be a random act of violence.
