Dr. Frumovitz, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year, was a beacon of hope and a relentless advocate for women battling gynecologic cancers. His loss is deeply felt not only within the medical community but also among his friends and colleagues who cherished his unwavering dedication and kindness.
Dr. Frumovitz’s career was marked by his profound commitment to advancing the treatment and care of women with gynecologic cancers. When our late founder, Rhonda, faced a rare form of ovarian cancer during the onset of the pandemic, Dr. Frumovitz extended his support to her family despite the challenges posed by distance. His guidance during those trying times was a testament to his generosity and dedication to his patients. His willingness to help did not wane even as the Medical Oncology Cancer Coalition (MOCC) began to take shape. For the past four years, he remained a steadfast ally, always ready to offer his expertise and support with just a phone call or text message.
Dr. Frumovitz’s commitment to advancing cancer treatment was unwavering. He played a crucial role in shaping the MOCC’s initiatives and strategies, ensuring that patients received the best possible care and support. His leadership and vision were instrumental in driving forward our mission to improve outcomes for women with gynecologic cancers.
As we mourn his passing, we extend our sincerest condolences to the Frumovitz family and his colleagues at the MD Anderson Cancer Center.
