Kyle Hamlin Death, Montcalm, MI – Superintendent Kyle Hamlin of the Montcalm Area Intermediate School District (ISD) passed away on Sunday after a brief but intense two-week battle with cancer. Hamlin, who had served as the district’s superintendent since July 2020, previously dedicated over a decade to Lakeview Community Schools.
The news of Hamlin’s passing was shared by his wife, Beth Hamlin, via a heartfelt post on Facebook. In her message, Beth Hamlin expressed that her husband’s death would likely be a shock to many, as the family had chosen not to publicly disclose his illness while they were coping with the situation. She reflected on their life together, stating, “He was an amazing partner and my very best friend. We were blessed with nearly 31 years, 7 wonderful kids, and 3 (almost 4) perfect grandbabies that he adored.”

He was surrounded by his loving family during his final moments. Kyle was born on December 2, 1972, in Lansing, Michigan, to Robert and Glenda (Arnett) Hamlin.
