Jack Farrell Obituary – Jack M. Farrell, age 94, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at his home surrounded by his seven children. He was born on Oct. 25, 1929, in Pine Bluff, Wis., the son of Richard and Irene (Kalscheur) Farrell. He grew up on the family farm in Pine Bluff and graduated from Mount Horeb High School. He enlisted in the U.S. He was proud to serve his country and proud to be a veteran. Jack had the privilege of going on the Badger Honor Flight in May 2015, accompanied by his oldest son, Keith, who is also a veteran. He owned Farrell’s Liquor Store and then became co-owner of Shamrock Liquor Store. After retiring from the post office and selling the liquor store, he worked at Pleasant View Golf Course for 18 years.
Jack is survived by his children, Keith (Angie) Farrell, Diane (Randy) Hagen, Richard (Gail) Farrell, Brian Farrell, Patricia (James) Binger, Kathleen (Cory) Painter and John (Tammy) Farrell; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Robert (Rosie) Farrell and Dan Farrell; brother-in-law, Fritz (Char) Stucki; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Farrell, on Sept. 9, 2021; his parents; his in-laws, Louis and Clara Stucki; sisters-in-law, Mary Farrell, Louise Stucki, Margaret (Wiley) Pippin and Doris (Philip) Aguirre; nephew, Kevin Farrell; and niece, Christina Aguirre. The family would like to thank Dr. Amy Daley and Dr. John Phelan from SSM Health as well as Agrace HospiceCare staff for their wonderful care and support. A special thank you to his caretaker, Zuzanna Babos, for her kindness and compassion, as well as Eunice from Senior Helpers.
