Devin Ellis Obituary, – A man from Killeen has been accused of committing murder in a stabbing incident in Nolanville. As per Nolanville Police Chief Michael Hatton, law enforcement officers were sent to the 200 block of West Dogwood Street around 8:38 p.m. on Monday following reports of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, they discovered a man who had been stabbed and administered first aid until paramedics arrived. The victim, identified as Devin Ellis, was then taken to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries. In connection with the investigation, Chief Hatton revealed that the suspect was identified as Ernesto Leonardo Hernandez-Vargas.
Following the incident, Hernandez-Vargas surrendered himself to the Temple Police Department. Subsequently, Temple PD informed the Nolanville Police Department, who took custody of him and transferred him to the Bell County Jail. Hernandez-Vargas was formally charged with the murder of Ellis on Tuesday. His bail was established at $1 million by Cliff Coleman, the Bell County Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2.
