New footage of the suspect vehicle has been obtained by the police. This footage is near Fisher Lane in Millcreek — the vehicle continues westbound on this road from 2300 East. Unified Police have released this footage in hopes that someone can identify the vehicle and driver involved in the crime. See below.
The suspect vehicle may be a “light-colored SUV or truck,” Unified Police stated. “If you have any information that could bring justice for the victim, please come forward. Your tip could be the key to solving this case and ensuring that the perpetrator is held accountable.”
If you have any information, you are asked to call dispatch at 801-840-4000 and reference case number CO24-70166. Unified Police responded to a hit-and-run crash at 2300 East and 3051 South in Millcreek shortly before 6 a.m. on July 27. The incident began when someone struck a cat, and Vanorman got out of her vehicle to render aid to the animal.
A black SUV was reportedly stopped in the middle lane with hazards on, close to Vanorman’s vehicle, near the time of the incident. Police said the person or people inside the SUV may have witnessed the hit-and-run.
Unified Police are reminding the public that the black SUV is not the suspect vehicle. Those inside may simply have been witnesses, or may possibly have information regarding the incident. Police are urging them to come forward at this time.
