Marie Robbins,Ryan Devisme Obituary – The Maine State Police reported that a man and a woman were found dead in a murder-suicide incident following a house fire in Great Pond, Maine, on Monday morning. The Aurora Fire Department was called to the scene of a residential fire at around 5 a.m. on Old Dam Way in Great Pond. Upon arrival, two bodies were discovered, and the State Fire Marshal’s Office was informed.
Great Pond, a rural town with approximately 60 residents, is situated in the central part of the state, roughly 30 miles from Bangor. The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit also arrived at the location to assist in investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire and the deaths of the two individuals. Both bodies were transported to the state medical examiner’s office for autopsies.
The first victim was identified as 35-year-old Marie Robbins, the resident of the home. The cause of her death remains undetermined, and it was classified as a homicide. The second victim was identified as 38-year-old Ryan Devisme from Aurora. His cause of death was determined to be carbon monoxide poisoning with a gunshot wound, and it was also ruled a homicide.
According to the state police investigation, Devisme was responsible for setting the house on fire before taking his own life by shooting himself in the head. Authorities revealed that Robbins and Devisme were previously in a relationship. No additional information has been disclosed at this time.
