Tim Slate Obituary, – Friends and educators gathered in Westhampton on Monday to pay tribute to a teenager who lost his life in a car accident last week. At a memorial, flowers, photographs, and energy drinks were left to commemorate the life of a teenager who was taken away too soon.
Robert Herman, a friend of Tim Slate, mentioned, “There’s a cross of wrenches. If you know Tim, he’s always working on something, always had a project.” On Monday, Western Mass News reported that 17-year-old Tim Slate passed away in a single-vehicle accident last Thursday night. He was a student at Hampshire Regional High School, a soccer player, and a friend to many.
“TIM WOULD ALWAYS MAKE YOU LAUGH, THAT WAS JUST TIM,” ADDED FRIEND HENRY HARRISON. SOME OF HIS FRIENDS SHARED CHERISHED MEMORIES OF THEIR TIME TOGETHER. “TIM AND I WOULD OFTEN GET BORED IN CLASS AND JUST GO FOR A WALK, MEET OTHER STUDENTS AND TEACHERS, AND ALWAYS HAVE A GOOD TIME,” HERMAN RECALLED.
In addition to the memorial, they organized a sunset gathering with dozens of friends and classmates last Friday. Moving forward, they intend to honor Slate in their daily lives. “Everyone adored him, he will be deeply missed,” both Herman and Harrison expressed.
As they enter their final year of high school, the friends plan to honor Slate by painting his designated spot in the school parking lot.
