Jenny Halldorson Obituary, – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified two individuals involved in a motorcycle collision with a deer. The incident occurred at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, on Pembina County Road 4, approximately 4 miles east of Bathgate.
Troopers reported that a deer emerged from the ditch, and the motorcycle driver, 43-year-old Robert Winkler of Cavalier, was unable to avoid it, resulting in a collision with the deer. The impact caused the passenger, 43-year-old Jenny Halldorson of Hamilton, North Dakota, to be ejected from the motorcycle.
Winkler was thrown into the ditch and trapped beneath the motorcycle. He was transported to Pembina County Memorial Hospital in Cavalier with severe, life-threatening injuries. Halldorson succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The North Dakota Highway Patrol has also charged Winkler with driving under revocation and driving without liability insurance.
