To find a teenage kid who went missing from Sydney’s central business district, police are requesting the public’s help. Roman Kotov, a 13-year-old, was last seen yesterday (Saturday, July 20, 2024) at approximately 5 p.m. at the light rail station outside the Queen Victoria Building on George Street, Sydney.
Officers from the North Shore Police Area Command were alerted and started looking for him when he could not be found or reached. Roman’s tender age raises severe worries for the wellbeing of the family and the police.
Roman is characterized as having brown hair, standing 150 cm tall, and having a Caucasian appearance. When last spotted, he was donning a black jacket, blue sneakers, and a t-shirt with white and blue stripes. Roman is reported to visit the Town Hall, Darling Harbour, Neutral Bay, Cremorne, and Sydney CBD frequently.

John Peck has sadly passed away unexpectedly leaving family, friends and community in shock. His death was announced following a socail media post which reads thus “Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus and our staff send deepest sympathies to the family, friends and colleagues of former Westmoreland County District Attorney John Peck, who passed away this week at the age of 77.
District Attorney Peck served the residents of Westmoreland County and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for nearly three decades, not only serving as the chief administrator of the office but serving as chief prosecutor in numerous jury trials over the years.
John’s commitment to public service was no doubt influenced by his father John, who served for twenty years as Sheriff of Westmoreland County. District Attorney Peck was a true public servant and his contributions to the safety and welfare of all of us in western Pennsylvania will never be forgotten.
