Brandon Harris has sadly passed away following several social media post one of which wrote ” The North Schuylkill family is deeply saddened, as we mourn the passing of Brandon Harris. Brandon was a graduate of North Schuylkill, and remained active at the school as one of the biggest Spartan supporters.
Each baseball season, Brandon could always be found in, or near, the Spartans’ dugout. Whether it was the regular season or playoffs, if the game was home or away, or whether it was sunny and 70 degrees or cloudy and 40, Brandon faithfully supported our coaching staff and players with his presence, and occasional words of encouragement.
Upon receiving his degree from Penn State Schuylkill, Brandon spent the past 2 years as our public address announcer for home boys’ and girls’ basketball games. Brandon rarely ever missed a game, and always approached his job with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Through his time attending sporting events, Brandon forged many lasting friendships with North Schuylkill coaches and athletes. Brandon was an inspiration to players and coaches from opposing schools, as well as all of the umpires and referees that would come to know him over the years.
Brandon will forever be missed by the entire Spartan community, however, we will be comforted by his memory, and the lasting impact he had on all who were fortunate to meet him. Please keep Brandon’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
