VIENNA, Ohio (WKBN) – On Friday evening, smoke was detected on WKBN’s weather camera at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport in Vienna.
Western Reserve Port Authority Anthony Trevena confirmed it was an airplane crash from an unscheduled, emergency landing of an airplane unassociated with Youngstown Air Reserve’s 910th wing.
He could not confirm any injuries.
He says they are waiting for NTSB and FAA to arrive on the scene.
Just after 7 p.m., a cloud of smoke could be seen near the runway.
A person on the scene took photos of the suspected source of the smoke shown below.
