Jean Frisbee Obituary – Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my longtime friend, Jean Frisbee, from the town of Duanesburg. Jean, a retired manager from the state Division of Treasury, was a devoted member of the Duanesburg Town Board, served with the Duanesburg Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and was a member of the Schenectady County Library Board. Her dedication and service to our community will be greatly missed. Rest in peace my friend.
She was a huge NASCAR fan, always looking forward to the start of the season so she could cheer on her favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jean loved watching western movies, especially anything that featured John Wayne. She also enjoyed listening to country music and her favorite singers, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. She was a long-time member of the Oneonta Moose Club during her time in Oneonta. Jean is survived by her daughter, Ionetta Jane Frisbee of Utica; her son, Walter Duane Frisbee of Oregon; 7 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Kimberly Lynn Frisbee, and her sister, Alma Barrett. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to: Susan G. Komen for the Cure, ATTN: Donor Services, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265. Jean’s family would like to thank her friends and the staff at the Sitrin Healthcare Center, especially Hawthorn House. A special thank you goes to Linda Small for her love and friendship.
