Christian Hodson-Foote Obituary, An Alva resident is facing charges related to a traffic homicide following a crash in February. Jamaine Alexander Washington, 43, was arrested by the Fort Myers Police Department’s Traffic Homicide Unit on Tuesday. He is accused of vehicular homicide, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and providing false information to law enforcement. The charges are the result of a thorough investigation into the fatal crash that occurred on the Caloosahatchee Bridge on February 11, claiming the life of 22-year-old Christian Hodson-Foote.
Washington allegedly rear-ended Hodson-Foote, who was riding his motorcycle northbound on the bridge. Initially, Washington misled investigators by claiming he was a passenger, not the driver.
However, evidence obtained from Washington’s vehicle’s Event Data Recorder, along with statements from witnesses and crash and video evidence, led to the charges. Washington is scheduled to appear in court for his arraignment on August 19.
