Mrs. Margaret Sikes Bowers, 96, died quietly at home on Monday, July 15, 2024.The Rev. Stacey Lundy will preside over the funeral services, which will take place at First United Methodist Church in Wadesboro on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM. After the service, the family will greet guests at a reception in the church fellowship.Anson Memorial Park will be the site of the burial afterwards.

On Monday, July 15, 2024, Michael Godsey, 21, went to be with the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Charles Kevin Godsey and Angela Fern Ridner welcomed him into the world on September 4, 2002, in Somerset, Kentucky.
His parents, longtime partner Bianca Shelton, daughter Adalynn Godsey, brothers Isaiah and Skyler Godsey, sister Cheyenne Godsey, and numerous nephews survive him. Everyone will miss him because he was adored by so many.
