David Denham Death: David “Dave” W. Denham, 66, of Hebron, KY, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, July 13, 2024. His sudden departure has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
Devoted Family Man
David loved being a Dad and Grandpa, and he proudly bragged about his kids and grandkids. This devotion ultimately brought him back to Kentucky from Florida. David’s commitment to his family was admirable, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them. His love and pride for his family were the driving forces in his life.
Community Involvement in Ludlow
A significant part of David’s life was spent in Ludlow at James Rigney Memorial Stadium, where he manned the grill at the LYF games. He loved watching the kids, including his son Brandon playing football and his daughter Britney cheering, while ensuring everyone was well-fed. His presence at these events was a testament to his dedication to his community and his family.
Passion for Cooking
David’s love for cooking went beyond creating delicious meals; it was about sharing those meals with loved ones. Known as “Chef Dave” or “Grill Master,” his culinary skills were renowned at The Moose Lodge in Zephyrhills, FL, and The Scooby Snack Shack in Ludlow, KY. His passion for cooking sparked numerous relationships and brought joy to many. David’s culinary creations were not just meals but experiences shared with those he loved.
Honorable Military Service
David served his country with honor in the United States Navy, specializing in Radio Communications. As a Vietnam War Veteran, he exemplified bravery and dedication. His proudest accomplishments, aside from his family, included serving as the Vice First Command Officer for AMVETS and being an integral part of their motorcycle club in Zephyrhills, FL. His contributions reflected his strong sense of duty and commitment to his community.
Family and Friends
David is preceded in death by his father, Robert Webb. He is survived by his daughters, Britney (Chris) Amann of Burlington, KY, and Bonnie Sue (Steve) Marshall of Lake Worth, FL; his son, Brandon Denham of Georgetown, KY; his mother, Helen Dunn of Zephyrhills, FL; his brother, Richie (Caitlin) Denham of Murfreesboro, TN; his sisters, Judy Westhouse of West Palm Beach, FL, Pam (Jennifer) Denham of Murfreesboro, TN, Sandy Denham of Zephyrhills, FL, and Dora (Tommy) Shewey of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Carter and Mason Denham, and Cameron and Cooper Amann, as well as a host of family and friends.
Visitation and Funeral Services
Visitation services for David will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at 12:00 PM, all at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, Kentucky. Interment will follow at Hebron Lutheran Cemetery, Hebron, Kentucky.
