John Keffer – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Michael Keffer, 50, of Dawson, Pennsylvania, who peacefully passed away at his home on Friday, July 12, 2024. John, born on March 15, 1974, in Mt. Pleasant, PA, was the beloved son of Charles E. Keffer Jr. and Patricia Ann Sztroin Keffer, who survive him and reside in Mt. Braddock.
John Keffer: A Dedicated UPS Driver and Outdoor Enthusiast
John was a resident of Dawson for the past three decades and dedicated himself to his career as a driver for UPS in New Stanton. Known for his reliability and commitment, John took pride in ensuring his deliveries were always prompt and efficient.
Passions and Hobbies
Beyond his professional life, John found immense joy in the outdoors. He spent countless hours cultivating his garden, delighting in growing and canning fresh vegetables. Cooking was another passion, and John loved sharing his culinary creations with loved ones.
Family and Community
John is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, David and Jamie Keffer of Mt. Braddock, and his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Ann (Keffer) and Scott Anthony of Indiana. He cherished his role as uncle to nephews Jacob and Ryan, and niece Rayna Keffer. John also held a special bond with his best friend and father figure, Carl Gardner of Dawson, and leaves behind many cousins, along with his beloved dog Charlie.
Honoring John Michael Keffer
Family, friends, and the community are invited to pay their respects at the visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 6-7:30 PM at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, located at 191 Liberty St., Perryopolis, PA. A service will follow at 7:30 PM, officiated by Pastor Gary Coldren of Liberty Baptist of Uniontown.
