Obituary, Ken Smollen Death – We are heartbroken to inform you all that Ken Smollen, our founder and friend, died away this afternoon. For everyone he assisted, Ken was a walking angel and an advocate for the underprivileged. For those of us that volunteered, he served as an inspiration to do better and benefit our communities.
You were a polite and considerate guy, Ken. Now that your time on earth is over, may your soul rest I sincerely appreciate how much of yourself you gave to others who had so little.
There are never enough words. Sandy, Keira, Leonie, sons-in-law, grandkids, siblings, and friends and extended family are all in my thoughts and prayers. Rest well, boss.
Ken made contributions that extended beyond his career. He established the Smollen Food Appeal, a vital initiative that assisted a large number of disadvantaged families. With this appeal, Ken demonstrated his tremendous empathy and unwavering commitment to helping the most fortunate.
He has left an enduring legacy of compassion and generosity via his efforts to eradicate food poverty and his commitment to ensuring that no family goes hungry. Ken’s dedication to service inspired many people, and everyone who knew him will miss him deeply.
