Adam Plummer was the pilot, while the passengers were Scott George and Charles Mather Jr. All three victims were residents of South Carolina, as confirmed by the highway patrol.
The Johnson County Airport manager informed News Channel 11 that the Cessna 182 aircraft departed from Tennessee’s Johnson County around 8:30 p.m., heading towards Rutherfordton, N.C. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) preliminary report indicated that the wreckage was discovered approximately 12 miles north of the intended destination. Emergency responders in North Carolina were present at the crash site near Brackett Town Road in Dysartsville on Monday.
