The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office reports that last week a Manheim Township grandma leaped onto Route 30 from a bridge. After jumping from the New Holland Pike bridge above Route 30, Michele Craft, 65, passed away on July 2. The coroner determined that she committed suicide even though she suffered numerous severe injuries. At 5:32 a.m. on July 2, Manheim Township police reported that they had received a call reporting that a woman was seated on the side wall of the bridge over Route 30 at the New Holland Pike exit, close to Lancaster Country Club. Craft had fallen into traffic and was hit by several cars by the time the cops arrived.
