Elva Leroy Frederick II Obituary, Man killed in Marysville stabbing is identified, Suspect in custody

Elva Leroy Frederick II Obituary – The Yuba County Sheriff’s Office has identified the 42-year-old victim of a fatal stabbing in Marysville over the weekend as Elva Leroy Frederick II. Deputies were called to a physical disturbance on North Beale Road early Saturday morning, where they found the victim. Despite efforts to save him at Adventist Rideout Hospital, the victim succumbed to his injuries. Following a review of security footage, detectives identified 27-year-old Michael Collier of Linda as the suspect. Collier was taken into custody and charged with homicide after questioning by detectives.
