Austin Jay Jones Obituary – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the deceased individual in the Berrien County crash last week as 29-year-old Austin Jay Jones from LaPorte. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on the Fourth of July on Deans Hill Road in Berrien Township.
The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office reported that Jones failed to navigate the curve, leading to his vehicle crashing through a guard rail and into a ditch before colliding with trees. Jones was declared dead at the site of the accident.
The crash is currently being investigated.
