Michael Frank Filomeno Cruz Obituary – The man who was fatally shot in east Salinas on Wednesday night has been identified as Michael Frank Filomeno Cruz, aged 33. The incident took place in front of a residence on North Pearl Street at approximately 11 p.m.
Following the investigation, evidence obtained led to the SWAT team executing a search warrant at a residence on North Pearl Street the next morning.
As a result of the searches, two minors were apprehended in connection to the murder, according to Salinas interim chief John Murray. They have been charged with murder, robbery, and gang-related offenses and have been placed in juvenile detention.
Murray mentioned that authorities are still in pursuit of a third suspect believed to have played a role in the homicide.
