London Montgomery Obituary – The Metro Nashville Police Department reported that a man from Memphis was fatally shot in a drug-related incident on Sunday night. The shooting took place in a parking lot on Hamilton Crossings Road. Upon arrival at the scene, authorities discovered 23-year-old London Montgomery in the driver’s seat of a stolen Mercedes SUV, which had crashed into a retaining wall.
According to the police’s findings, Montgomery arrived at the parking lot just before 10 p.m. and parked next to a Jeep Grand Cherokee. An individual from the Jeep Grand Cherokee exited the vehicle and briefly entered the Mercedes. Shortly after, another suspect emerged from the jeep and approached the Mercedes in what seemed to be a robbery attempt.
As Montgomery attempted to drive away, one of the suspects fired multiple shots, hitting him. Montgomery managed to drive a short distance before crashing into a retaining wall.
Montgomery was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The suspects from the Jeep fled the scene.
